When selecting new window treatments for your home, one of the first decisions you must make is whether you want custom or store-bought.
While it may be tempting to settle for a faster, cheaper solution to redecorating your home, there are a number of advantages to custom window treatments you may want to consider.
Custom window treatments are fully lined, making them fuller and heavier. Most custom curtains weight around 2 lbs. per panel whereas unlined store-brought brands usually weigh less than 1 lb. per panel. Although it is possible to find lined store bought curtains, they are often lined with cotton percale fabric, which is thin with a low thread count. The thicker poly-cotton lining of custom curtains helps block sunlight more effectively than store-bought curtains.
Store-bought window treatments are manufactured to the majority of customers, but your window may not be “one size fits all”. Custom window treatments offer buyers the ability to design a unique, high-grade product tailored to the specific needs of their home.
Custom window treatments allow for a wide variety of color, print, and size options that most store-bought brands don’t offer. You can create an original style that allows you to achieve your ideal aesthetic. With custom treatments, you’re going to get the look you want rather than settling for the designs that are available.
When you choose custom window treatments for your home, you’re guaranteed a product that is better quality and lasts longer than store-bought. In a manufacturing plant, window treatments are produced so quickly that little time is taken to guarantee accuracy and quality.
Custom window treatments undergo extensive evaluation to ensure the customer is satisfied with their product. Upon final inspection, details such as cutting, hemming, and fabrication are perfected for high quality, long-lasting window treatments you’ll love.
